A unique F.P. Journe timepiece created to raise funds for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has been unveiled in Monaco ahead of its auction in Singapore later this year…
The one-off watch marks the fourth collaboration between celebrated independent watchmaker François-Paul Journe and the Foundation, combining serious fundraising ambitions with an unusual approach to watchmaking.
For the 2026 creation, Journe has deliberately returned to basics, producing what he described as his first simple chronograph after previously making more complicated flyback and split-seconds chronographs. The watch features a distinctive mauve dial and numerals inspired by ancient Chinese writing, reflecting its connection with the forthcoming Singapore event.
Its arrival comes as F.P. Journe enjoys extraordinary demand among collectors. In June, the Chronomètre à Résonance “Souscription, No. 007” sold for $13.92 million at Phillips in New York, setting a new world auction record for an independent watchmaker.
Journe believes the unique Monaco creation could raise between €5 million and €10 million, providing a significant boost to the Foundation’s environmental projects while bringing them to the attention of an international collecting audience.
The watch will be auctioned on November 25 in Singapore during the Foundation’s Extraordinary Journey gala dinner.
