It may still be winter, but as we approach the new year, our thoughts will turn to spring and summer and the fun open cars that can be enjoyed…
Monaco has long embraced light, open vehicles that epitomize Riviera charm, with iconic models like the Fiat Jolly and the Méhari enjoying enduring popularity in the Principality. Now, a new addition brings a modern twist to this classic appeal: the Méhari Eden Monte-Carlo, an electric reinvention of the vintage Méhari, tailored for Monaco’s sophisticated yet relaxed lifestyle.
The Méhari Eden Monte-Carlo is a collaboration between the 2CV Méhari Club Cassis, Monaco-based artist Mr. OneTeas (Anthony Alberti), and the Moneghetti garage. Designed to combine timeless Riviera aesthetics with contemporary innovation, the Méhari Eden Monte-Carlo features cork flooring, parasol attachments, terry towel upholstery, and a safety buoy, all enhancing its leisurely, seaside vibe. Its unique zigzag mattress transforms into a sun lounger, and its red and white colour scheme proudly reflects Monaco’s national colours.
Powered by a perfectly adapted electric motor, this model eliminates the noise, smell, and quirks of its 2CV predecessor while offering a practical 100 km range—ideal for short trips to the market or beach. As Lionel Aubert of the Moneghetti garage noted, “No one buys a Méhari for its engine. The electric motor fits its purpose perfectly.”
The Méhari Eden Monte-Carlo is not just for personal use; its practicality and charm also make it appealing for hotels and resorts, offering a stylish, eco-friendly way to transport guests. Priced at €60,000, this exclusive model combines timeless design with sustainable luxury, perfectly aligned with Monaco’s unique lifestyle.
