Led by the commercial section of the Austrian embassy in Paris, a delegation of around twenty Austrian entrepreneurs specialising in new technologies was welcomed to the Principality with the aim of discovering the Monegasque ecosystem and its digital dimension.
Organised by the Monaco Economic Board and attended by Peter König, the Honorary Consul General of Austria in Monaco, the meeting took place on Friday, April 19 at MonacoTech.
After welcoming participants, the Executive Director General of the MEB, Guillaume Rose kicked off the morning with a general presentation of the Monegasque economy, its strengths, successes and ambitions.
Sandrine Sauval, Director of MonacoTech, then took over to explain the specific features of the Principality’s ‘incubator-accelerator’, before giving the floor to three start-ups; Net0, Altores and Monaco Experience Point. The three start-ups took turns to pitch in front of an audience of connoisseurs, which was captivated and quick to question the young entrepreneurs.
“In this context, it was impossible not to mention the Government Extended Monaco’s digital transition programme, spearheaded by Frédéric Genta, Inter-ministerial Delegate for Attractiveness and Digital Transition. Two members of his team, Marine Rolando and Thierry Poyet, outlined the major projects that have transformed the Principality into a remarkable land of digital transformation,” reads an MEB press release.
Following these presentations, the members of the Austrian delegation from the Carinthia region, who often specialise in management consultancy, accountancy, and IT, had the opportunity to meet MEB member companies at a networking cocktail, which served to strengthen the economic ties between the two business communities.
