Monegasque swimmer Lisa Pou has qualified to participate in the Olympic Games.
Last weekend at the World Championships open water swimming in Doha (Qatar) she met the Olympic limit for the 10-kilometre race.
The 24-year-old woman from Monaco finished in 9th place, less than seven seconds behind Dutch world champion Sharon van Rouwendaal. Lisa Pou’s time was 1.57.33’40”. With this qualification, she is the first Monegasque athlete who is certain to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris.
