The 17th Denis Ravera International Challenge brought together pétanque competitors representing 16 nations across five continents at the Club Bouliste du Rocher in Monaco on Sunday, October 18, in an international tournament attended by Minister of State Christophe Mirmand.

Often described as a mini World Cup of pétanque, the competition celebrated the sport’s international appeal, with participants facing one another across three disciplines: relay shooting, precision shooting and doubles.

The event offered competitors an opportunity to demonstrate their accuracy, technique and teamwork, with the varied formats testing different aspects of the game.

Organised at the Club Bouliste du Rocher, the tournament has become an international gathering for players from around the world, highlighting Monaco’s place on the pétanque calendar and bringing together athletes from a diverse range of sporting backgrounds.

With 16 countries represented, this year’s edition once again underlined the sport’s reach beyond its traditional strongholds, providing a meeting point for competitors united by their passion for pétanque.
