Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc continues to suffer ill-fate on the streets of his home town, as the driver crashed an iconic Niki Lauda Ferrari F1 car into the barriers of the Rascasse Corner during a Ferrari exhibition race at the Historic Monaco Grand Prix.
The home hero was enjoying a lovely Sunday drive through his local streets when disaster struck in the closing laps of the exhibition race. The shunt damaged the rear end of the car, leaving the sizeable spoiler looking worse for wear.
As it happens, this is the same exact car that Jean Alesi crashed in the 2021 Historic Monaco GP. Leclerc took to social media to share his sentiments towards the incident:
