The bar section of the Quai des Artistes on Quai Antoine, Port Hercule, was forced to close for eight days because of noisy clients.
Not only did they disturb the neighbours, but social distancing was disregarded when a number of clients danced on the bar of the restaurant’s outside terrace, according to a notice displayed on the bar’s doors.
It seems that the sort of behaviour normally associated with neighbouring La Rascasse migrated to the more upscale venue, as Rascasse has been closed for drinks since the start of the ‘food only’ rule two weeks ago.
The outside bar will reopen on Tuesday, November 24.
It’s great to see the police starting to enforce these rules. If the government makes rules and they get ignored, like the table distance rule, etc. then it makes people think they don’t need to listen to ANY of the rules, and it belittles the government.
On the same topic, I really wish they would update the rules to require joggers and kids to wear masks too, since they are super-spreaders.
