As coronavirus lockdown rules relax, Monaco residents can consider where they might travel for a change of scenery and an overnight stay but still abide by France’s 100-kilometre travel limit.

St. Tropez may be 135 kilometres distant from Monaco by car, but the village lies just 82 kilometres away as the crow flies, and it’s the bird’s route that qualifies under the French government’s 100-kilometre rule.

An early opener among the top hotels in St. Tropez is the Kube, two kilometres from St. Tropez port, situated in Gassin with open sea views. The hotel sits in two acres of grounds, and while the swimming pool and the restaurant remain closed at present, guests are able to take advantage of a full menu with special room service.

The Kube also offers a wide range of fitness and wellness facilities that are already up and running again. General Manager Stephane Faraut is eager to welcome back familiar faces from Monaco and looking forward to meeting new guests. Monaco Daily News readers will be offered a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival, Mr Faraut said. https://www.kubehotel-saint-tropez.com/en/
