The route for the 95th Monte Carlo Rally has been unveiled, promising four days of demanding competition across 18 special stages and more than 353 timed kilometres…
Taking place from January 21 to 24, 2027, the rally will once again open the World Rally Championship season, with new technical regulations for the competing cars adding further intrigue.
The official start will take place in Monaco at 13:45 on Thursday, January 21, before competitors head towards Gap, which will provide the base for two days of competition. The route takes crews through the Alpes-Maritimes, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Isère and Drôme before returning to the Principality.
Several legendary Monte Carlo stages are returning, including the Col de Braus, Clumanc and Col du Pertuis, alongside sections used in more recent editions.
Unlike last year, there will be no super special stage, which attracted around 20,000 spectators despite difficult weather conditions.
Sunday could prove decisive, with competitors tackling some of the rally’s most challenging roads before the traditional finale over the Col de Turini. The event concludes in Monaco on January 24, with the awards ceremony taking place at Port Hercule.
