The Principality of Monaco’s sport-boules team has ended its season on a high, winning the French championship in its division and securing promotion to Elite 2 for the coming campaign.
The decisive finals of the 2025–2026 national club championship were held in Saint-Chamond, in France’s Loire region, where Monaco confirmed its status as the standout side of the competition. The team had already guaranteed promotion in March after defeating L’Arbresle to book its place in the final, but the players arrived determined to add the national title to their achievements.
In the championship match against Digoin, Monaco produced another assured display, wrapping up victory before the final round with a 31–19 scoreline. The win crowns a successful season for the club and sends the Monegasque squad into the second tier of French sport-boules competition for the first time next year.
Attention now turns to October, when Monaco will begin life in Elite 2 — a step up that brings tougher competition, but also a chance for the Principality’s newly crowned champions to prove themselves on a bigger stage.
