The Principality once again proved its ability to host top-tier sporting events as it welcomed elite fencers from across the globe for the prestigious Tournoi International de Monaco d’Épée.

Held over a full day of intense competition, the tournament attracted around a hundred participants, offering both men’s and women’s senior categories, with athletes from Italy, France, Lebanon, Croatia, and Lithuania battling for victory.

From the early morning hours, fencers engaged in over six hours of matches, vying for the coveted trophy while receiving strong support from an enthusiastic crowd. The tournament reinforced Monaco’s reputation as a hub for international sports, showcasing not only the talent of world-class athletes but also the Principality’s organizational excellence.

Italy dominated the women’s final with a commanding 15–7 victory, displaying remarkable skill and control throughout her matches. In the men’s division, fierce duels unfolded, highlighting the technical and tactical prowess required at this level of épée fencing. The Monaco team made a solid impression, securing ninth place in the women’s category, demonstrating the strong potential of local athletes.

The event’s success was a testament to the efforts of Monaco’s fencing federation and club, which worked tirelessly to deliver a seamless experience for competitors and spectators alike.
