Monaco’s Winter Carnival made a lively comeback on the afternoon of Friday, February 28 at the Marché de la Condamine, drawing families and children for an evening of festivities. Organised by Monaco City Hall in partnership with the Entreparents Network, this year’s event embraced a superhero theme, bringing costumed crowds and street performers to the heart of the city.
Stilt walkers, magicians, balloon artists, and face painters kept young attendees entertained, while live music added to the carnival atmosphere. Creative workshops gave children a chance to get hands-on, and families made the most of the free entertainment on offer.

“This carnival was important for the Town Hall, which wants to preserve and promote festive traditions by reviving a celebration that had disappeared,” said Axelle Amalberti Verdino, Deputy Mayor in charge of Activities and Leisure. “It’s a moment of popular joy that spans generations, and its return in winter helps strengthen this bond between residents.”
With strong turnout and a packed schedule of activities, the event proved that the appetite for a winter carnival in Monaco is still very much alive.
