Monaco has taken another step forward in its ongoing commitment to housing for its citizens, as the State Housing Allocation Commission convened on Thursday, February 27, at the Ministry of State. Led by Pierre-André Chiappori, Government Advisor-Minister of Finance and Economy, the commission reviewed applications submitted between September 16 and October 11, ultimately awarding 194 apartments to Monegasque residents.

This year’s allocations focused on newly completed residences in Block B of the Héméra complex, following the successful handover of Block C last year, as well as refurbished apartments returned to the state after renovation.

Since the launch of the National Housing Plan in 2019, the Principality has allocated 1,173 state-owned homes, reinforcing its commitment to addressing housing needs under the leadership of HSH Prince Albert II. With high satisfaction rates among residents, the government continues to invest in new developments, accelerate renovations, and fine-tune housing policies to enhance the quality of life for Monegasques.

Beyond construction, Monaco is also streamlining the housing process. Residents now have access to a newly published practical guide, detailing occupancy rules and maintenance responsibilities. The guide aims to simplify daily life for tenants, offering clear answers to common questions. It is available for download online here: monservicepublic.gouv.mc
