Nice Côte d’Azur Airport has reached a new milestone, welcoming 14.7 million passengers in 2024—surpassing its pre-pandemic record of 14.5 million from 2019. Despite slightly fewer flights than before the health crisis (109,455 compared to 110,866 in 2019), the airport has seen a strong rebound in air traffic.
Now serving 122 destinations across 45 countries, Nice Airport has also expanded its long-haul routes, with notable growth in connections to North America and the Gulf region.
However, the planned expansion of Terminal 2, aimed at improving capacity during peak travel periods, has sparked debate. Local residents and environmental groups are voicing concerns over increased noise pollution and the strain on a region already facing high levels of tourism.
