The Princely Government has announced the relaunch of the Fonds Bleu initiative, signalling a new phase in its efforts to support Monaco’s economic development through digital innovation. This phase aims to drive technological advancements, stimulate economic growth, and address the evolving needs of local businesses.
Launched in late 2020 in response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Fonds Bleu is an initiative by the Department of Finance and Economy (D.F.E.) and the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition (D.I.T.N.) under the Extended Monaco for Business program. Its first phase played a crucial role in facilitating the digital transformation of Monaco’s businesses, ensuring continuity of economic activities during difficult times. Since then, over 700 businesses have benefitted from the program, leading to a total investment of 52 million euros, with 24.3 million euros provided as direct aid. Local digital service providers (Entreprises de Services Numériques) managed more than 90 percent of the transformation projects, further strengthening Monaco’s digital ecosystem. Moreover, over 3,500 professionals received specialised training, enhancing skills and contributing to the Principality’s economic dynamism.
Encouraged by the success of the initial phase, the government is transitioning the Fonds Bleu from an economic recovery program to a digital optimisation initiative. This new phase focuses on deepening the adoption of digital technologies, fostering innovation, and driving competitiveness in an increasingly digital landscape. A significant addition is the MonacoSanté Sécurité plan, developed in partnership with the Department of Social Affairs and Health. This initiative aims to enhance the security of health data, a critical issue in the digital era, while promoting trust and innovation within the healthcare sector.
With this new phase, the Fonds Bleu reaffirms its commitment to supporting Monaco’s digital transition and enhancing the Principality’s economic competitiveness in a rapidly evolving technological environment. For more information, visit eme.gouv.mc or monacosanté.mc.
