In light of these conditions, authorities are urging the public to “avoid any unnecessary travel within the city and neighbouring areas” throughout the storm’s duration. The government emphasises the need for “vigilance and caution,” asking the population to comply with these recommendations to ensure safety.
A temporary lull is anticipated around midday on Saturday, though rain is expected to persist. Forecasts suggest that the storm may intensify again from Saturday night into Sunday. The orange alert for the Alpes-Maritimes region remains in place until Sunday, October 27.
