A chance to ask questions that girls aged 11 to 25 may have never had the opportunity to ask before, and to feel more informed about the choices for their own studies and first job options, is offered on International Women’s Day, March 8, from 15.00 to 17.00 at the Espace Léo Ferré.

Local associations SheCanHeCan and Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises de Monaco with the support of the  Committee for Women’s Rights of Monaco are hosting for the third time the Monaco’s ‘Speed Mentoring’ event for girls.

Over 30 female entrepreneurs from various professions, including trade, health, tourism, finance, logistics and digital marketing amongt others, will be present to speak with the girls, including high-ranking female public figures such as Laurence Garino, Chief of Staff of the Minister of State, Christine Pasquier-Ciulla, member of the National Council, and Benoite Rousseau de Sevelinges, Director of CHPG, will be present. Find the profiles of all participating women here: https://www.shecanhecan.org/speedmentoring

Career guidance for young students in the Principality generally begins during their high school years without a focus on gender difference. Nevertheless, women are still under-represented in leadership roles,  according to the SheCanHeCan Association. “Through this initiative, young girls will have the opportunity to see more than twenty women in leadership roles, to better understand the role and importance of women in the professional world and in all professional fields.”

The event will be held during “Pow’Her,” a day hosted by the Committee for Women’s Rights to mark Women’s Rights Day. It’s an opportunity for young students to also witness the ongoing work by other associations in the field of gender equality. The Entreparents Network will highlight “the rights to maternity and parenthood” at their stand throughout the day. During the Pow’Her Day, a variety of events will be held, including conferences, talks, debates, workshops, concerts and shows. Entry is free and there is no need to pre-register.
