HSH Prince Albert has joined a plethora of stars in the ‘Quintessentially Irish‘ documentary that seeks to celebrate what it is to be Irish.

The documentary takes viewers on a tour of a selection of Ireland’s most beautiful sights, making no secret of why Ireland is referred to as the emerald isle, while also exploring the country’s famous exports.

However, it is the people of Ireland that take centre stage in this heartfelt film. Prince Albert makes a special feature, discussing the Irish heritage of his late mother, the Oscar winning actress and beloved Princess Grace Kelly. Watch the trailer below:

Joining Prince Albert are fellow world leaders, Irish President Michael D Higgins and US President Joe Biden, who gave filmmakers exclusive access to the White House on St Patrick’s Day, as he is proudly Irish-American.

Pierce Brosnan, Bob Geldof, Andrew Scott, Sharon Horgan and Oscar winner Jeremy Irons are just a few of the recognisable Irish faces to also feature in the Frank Mannion documentary.

Monaco’s own Princess Grace Irish Library also makes a cameo appearance.

“Quintessentially Irish reflects the modern reality that Ireland is much more than cliched representations of leprechauns; the country has a renewed national self-confidence that is reflected in the thrilling mix of a new generation of artists and novelists,” said Mannion, adding that  Hopefully audiences will feel that Quintessentially Irish is the perfect film to watch while raising a celebratory drink this St Patrick’s Day.”

The documentary will release in the US theatrically and on VOD on Tuesday, March 12 ahead of St. Patrick’s Day, while the UK and Ireland will have to wait until Friday, April 26.
