Having grabbed headlines all week with the bombshell announcement that Lewis Hamilton will be racing in red from the 2025 season onwards, Scuderia Ferrari have teased the tifosi with a video of their highly anticipated 2024 Formula 1 season challenger firing up for the first time.

However, die hard fans of the Scuderia are required to deploy their imagination as the car can only be heard, not seen. A special edit shows the sun rising over the storied Maranello headquarters of the prancing horse, with the roar of the SF-24 being heard for the first time.

Although the roar is a far cry from the screaming V10 era of yesteryear, fans of Ferrari will be hoping that the SF-24 will provide more of a challenge to the dominant Red Bull Racing team in Carlos Sainz’s last season with the team before Hamilton’s big move.

Ferrari are set to unveil the SF-24 to the world in all its glory on Tuesday, February 13, before the car takes on the rest of the field in the season opening Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday, March 2, at the hands of Charles Leclerc and Sainz in their fourth and final season together.
