AS Monaco have announced the transfer of attacking midfielder Gelson Martins to Greek side Olympiakos this January transfer window.

Foot Mercato report that the Principality side will receive a three million euro transfer fee for the Portuguese international who joined Monaco from La Liga’s Atletico Madrid in the January of 2019.

Martins scored 16 goals and recorded 14 assists during his time in red and white, and contributed to a strong campaign that saw Monaco reach the final of the Coupe de France tournament in 2021.

Having played for Sporting Portugal before Atletico Madrid and Monaco, 28 year-old Martins is preparing to take on a fourth championship in his career, the Greek Elláda Superleague.
