Just 40 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Monaco during the week ending Sunday, January 1.
On the same day, only 11 people were being treated for coronavirus symptoms at Princess Grace Hospital, including seven residents.
The number of residents with mild symptoms recovering at home fell to 28, while the benchmark incidence rate plummeted to 102 per 100,000 population from 171 one week previously.
