The Parent Teacher Association of the International School of Monaco has held its annual Christmas Market fundraising event at the school for the benefit of a long-established local Foundation.

This event featured an array of Christmas-themed items for sale, including toys, decorations, arts and crafts, food, as well as student Christmas carol performances and a visit from Santa Claus, with all proceeds donated to the Lenval Foundation to support children in need.

The Lenval Foundation was created in 1888 to ‘welcome children, without any condition of financial means, of any religion or nationality’.

Today, the Foundation offers eight different centres across 20 sites in the Alpes Maritimes which deal with pediatric emergencies, surgery, psychiatry, medical specialities and research. These include the highly respected pediatric hospital in Nice, as well as an autism centre and a medicalised education institute in Menton.
