Molière – theatre
Francis Huster returns to the theater with his latest show, Molière, a committed impromptu in which the 463rd member of the Comédie-Française pays tribute to the man he considers to be the greatest hero in our theatrical history.
From 1622 to 1673, in half a century, Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known by his stage name Molière, made history because, beyond the artist, he was a free man. He who dared to challenge all powers, who never betrayed his values of dignity and human tenderness, who sublimated his art as an actor, who was quite simply a man of his word, of truth and of love.
Francis Huster never stopped playing and directing Molière. To accompany the 400th anniversary of his birth, in 2021 he published two books dedicated to him and a vibrant plea for his entry into the Pantheon. With his passion and his commitment, the actor once again revives the memory of Molière and carries with exaltation his incredible destiny. At Théâtre Princess Grace on Wednesday, October 5 at 20:00. The poet Gilles Montelatici, for his part, sought to translate into short poems, in the manner of Japanese haiku, the atmosphere of these gardens, the instantaneous impressions which emerge from them. This project is also an opportunity to visit history through the evocation of the gardens of Monaco, with its streets named after flowers or plants.

The title of the exhibition clearly circumscribes a geography, that of the Côte-d’Azur to Bordighera, in Italy, that Helmut Newton photographed from the 1960s until his death in the early 2000s. “A Riviera” is thus a pretext to explore the work of a major photographer of the 20th century in a different way, through now famous images, like others rarely presented to the public.
At Villa Sauber until 13.11.2022. Discover more at the Nuveau Musée national de Monaco website.
