Monaco’s Ambassador in Spain met the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organisation on Wednesday.
HE Ms Catherine Fautrier-Rousseau held talks with Mr Zurab Pololikashvili and Ms Alessandra Priante, Regional Director of the Europe Department, on the situation related to the recovery of the tourism sector post-pandemic.
The Ambassador also took the opportunity to discuss possible areas of collaboration with the WTO on the need to promote sustainable tourism. The Global Tourism Plastics Initiative – “Global Tourism Platics Initiative” and the “One Planet” program were discussed in detail.
Mme Ambassador emphasised the Principality’s support for these two initiatives.
