Travellers from Monaco heading to the United States will face a new health-related travel requirement from Tuesday, November 3, with airlines instructed to check that passengers have completed a declaration concerning recent travel to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The measure applies to all passengers travelling to the United States, including those making a connecting flight through a US airport. Monegasque nationals and residents are also covered by the requirement.

Under the new procedure, travellers must attest that they have not stayed in the DRC during the 21 days preceding their journey. The declaration must be completed before departure, with airlines responsible for checking the documentation before boarding.

Passengers who cannot provide the required attestation may be denied boarding, making it important for those planning trips to the United States to complete the form in advance.

The declaration form is available through the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
