Spring has arrived at the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo—and it’s impossible to miss.
The hotel’s Lobby Bar has been transformed by its latest seasonal concept, “Spring Melody,” an immersive installation that turns the space into a luminous, dreamlike garden. Part of the hotel’s signature “Métropole Mood” series, the concept reflects a broader creative approach: reimagining the lobby four times a year to mirror the changing seasons through art, design and atmosphere.
This spring edition is defined by a striking monochrome palette of yellow, ranging from bright citrus tones to deeper, warmer shades. The effect is immediate. The lobby feels sunlit from within, with the vibrant hues contrasting against the rich wood and velvet textures of the interior.
At the centre of the installation, a sculptural arrangement of vintage-style aviaries rises like a quiet centrepiece. Inside, soft candlelight flickers, while clusters of seasonal yellow flowers—daffodils, tulips and ranunculus—bring the composition to life. The result isn’t a literal garden, but something more interpretive: a space that captures the feeling of spring rather than recreating it.
The floral installations, designed by Miss Rose by Perrine, follow a philosophy that blends aesthetics with sustainability. Wherever possible, the flowers are sourced from local producers in the Var region and northern Italy, and the selection evolves over time, subtly changing the look and feel of the space across the season.
The experience extends beyond the visual. Inspired by the installation, the hotel has created a signature cocktail, Floraison, designed to echo the same bright, layered character. Built around citrus-forward gin and complemented by notes of bitter orange and herbal liqueurs, the drink is both refreshing and complex. A clarified milk punch technique gives it a silky texture and crystal-clear appearance, while a final touch of saffron syrup transforms both its colour and flavour at the moment of serving.
Even the smallest details have been carefully considered. Glassware, table settings and decorative elements throughout the Lobby Bar carry subtle hints of yellow and blue, tying the entire concept together into a cohesive sensory experience.
With “Spring Melody,” the Hôtel Métropole once again demonstrates its ability to blur the line between hospitality and artistic expression—offering guests not just a place to visit, but a moment to experience.
