Outward Bound Monaco is offering young people in the Principality the chance to turn courage and creativity into a life-changing summer experience. The organisation has launched “The Adventure Challenge,” a competition that will award two prizes worth €1,500 each towards its 2026 Summer Adventure Programme in the United Kingdom.
Open to children and teenagers aged 10 to 17, the competition invites participants to answer a simple but powerful question: What inspires you to take on new challenges, and how could an Outward Bound summer adventure help you grow as a person? It is an opportunity not only to win substantial financial support, but to reflect on ambition, resilience and the kind of person each entrant hopes to become.
There is no single way to enter. Young people can respond with a short video, a photograph and caption, a drawing with a short paragraph, or another creative format that captures their personality and perspective. The emphasis is on originality and honesty rather than perfection. Outward Bound Monaco is looking for thoughtful, imaginative responses that reveal genuine motivation and curiosity about personal growth.
Each winner will receive a €1,500 voucher to use towards any 2026 Outward Bound Monaco summer course in the UK, including stays at centres in Aberdovey, Loch Eil and Ullswater. The courses themselves offer fully escorted and supervised stays of one, two or three weeks, combining outdoor challenges with structured reflection and team experiences. From hiking and navigation exercises to problem-solving tasks and camping, the focus is on building confidence, independence and leadership skills in a supportive environment.
The competition closes on 31st March 2026, with winners to be chosen on 10th April and contacted shortly afterwards. Entries should be sent to vanessa@outwardboundmonaco.com.
