Preparations for the summer season are already underway at the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM), which hosted its traditional recruitment day this Wednesday at One Monte-Carlo…

With more than 800 positions to fill across hospitality, catering, and service roles, the event drew a strong turnout of motivated candidates hoping to secure a place in one of Monaco’s most prestigious institutions.

Among them was Mohamed, a business student currently completing a work-study placement in Nice who spoke to Monaco Info. Interested in a seasonal position as a valet or baggage handler, he was guided through a series of interviews and left the session feeling optimistic. “Each time, I was asked for my CV. They said they liked my profile,” he said. “I’m satisfied with the exchange I had.”

Throughout the day, recruiters looked beyond qualifications to assess attitude, motivation, and adaptability. “We’re looking for rare pearls,” one hiring manager explained. “Smile, attitude, and honesty all count. Mohamed, for example, was transparent about his experience, and that really stood out.”

Having passed the initial HR stage, Mohamed was quickly directed to meet with the head of the valet and concierge department, a key step that may open the door to his first summer in Monaco.

The Société des Bains de Mer will also be present at the upcoming Monaco Job Forum organised by the Princely Government on February 6. Applications are open, and candidates are encouraged to send CVs directly to: recruitment@sbm.mc.
