Art historian Cécilia Lyon will deliver an English-language talk titled “Adolphe Valette & L.S. Lowry: The Master and the Pupil,” exploring how French painter Adolphe Valette brought Impressionism to Manchester in the early 20th century and went on to teach L.S. Lowry, who would become one of Britain’s most celebrated modern artists.
Admission is €30, with all proceeds supporting the charitable work of the British Association of Monaco. The evening will conclude with a cocktail reception generously offered by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation with the support of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou.
