His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and Princess Caroline of Hanover inaugurated La Bookinerie Monaco on the evening of Monday 10th November, officially opening the Principality’s newest cultural venue…

Nestled in the heart of the Jardins d’Apolline, the charming new bookstore aims to become a meeting point for literature lovers and a vibrant addition to Monaco’s cultural landscape.

The inauguration brought together several leading figures from the Principality, including Françoise Gamerdinger, Director of Cultural Affairs, and Jean-Charles Curau, Secretary General of the Prince Pierre Foundation, as well as a number of local writers, publishers, and art patrons. The atmosphere was warm and convivial, reflecting the spirit of La Bookinerie itself, a space designed to inspire conversation and community.

Conceived as more than just a bookshop, La Bookinerie invites visitors to browse an extensive selection of works, discover new releases, and enjoy coffee and discussion in a relaxed setting. It seeks to promote reading as a shared experience and to strengthen the link between authors and readers through future events, signings, and literary gatherings. With the support of the Sovereign and the Princely Family, the venue opens its doors as a new cultural landmark in the heart of Monaco.
