The Grimaldi Forum can be counted on to put on a top-class summer show, and this year’s retrospective on Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966) is no exception.
Entitled Marvellous Reality, the exhibition traces the sculptor’s development through the twentieth century on his search for his own Marvellous Reality.
Described as a major artist of the century, Giacometti never fails to intrigue the viewer.

The exhibition has been thoughtfully laid out in 14 sequences, and there’s a great deal to see thanks to the loan by the Giacometti Foundation of 230 works.
So varied and eclectic are the pieces on display, there is only one way to understand it, and that’s to take the time to visit.
The exhibition opened on July 3 and runs until the end of August.
