His Serene Highness Prince Albert II received six foreign ambassadors at the Prince’s Palace on Tuesday, October 27, for the presentation of their letters of credence, welcoming diplomatic representatives from Canada, South Korea, Burundi, El Salvador, Thailand and Lebanon.

The formal ceremony marked an official stage in the ambassadors’ diplomatic representation in the Principality, bringing together envoys from six countries across North America, Asia, Africa, Central America and the Middle East.

Letters of credence are official documents through which a head of state introduces an ambassador to the head of state of the receiving country. Their presentation to Prince Albert II forms part of the diplomatic protocol through which ambassadors are formally accredited to Monaco.
