Monaco United claimed a historic 3-1 victory over AS Monaco FF on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the first official women’s football derby between two Monaco-based clubs.
Played at the Stade Didier Deschamps in Cap-d’Ail, the Régional 1 Féminin encounter attracted a large crowd for a match that marked a new chapter for women’s football in the Principality.
AS Monaco FF took the lead during an evenly contested first half, but Monaco United responded shortly before the interval when captain Rachel Robert found the net to bring the scores level at 1-1.
Monaco United returned after the break with greater control and began creating more opportunities. Just before the hour mark, Jade Prault won a penalty after being brought down by the opposing goalkeeper, with Robert stepping up to convert from the spot and put her side 2-1 ahead.
AS Monaco FF continued to search for an equaliser, but Monaco United remained organised defensively and maintained the pressure as the match entered its final stages.
The decisive third goal came from substitute Léa Rosenberger, who had only recently entered the game before finding the net to make it 3-1.
The result secured Monaco United’s second victory of the Régional 1 Féminin season. The club had opened its campaign with a 9-1 win over AS Cannes 2 before also progressing in the Coupe de France with an 11-0 victory against Aubagne.
The latest result leaves Monaco United unbeaten after the opening two league matches and among the leading sides in the division. The Ligue Méditerranée de Football confirmed the 3-1 derby victory in its review of the second round of fixtures.
Monaco United will return to league action on Sunday, September 27, when the team travels to face St Didier Espérance Pernoise.
