The Fontvieille Big Top came alive this weekend as nearly 3,000 music fans gathered for the inaugural edition of Mona in Wonderland, a new electronic music festival that brought an energetic and youthful atmosphere to the Principality…

Positioned between the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix, the event delivered a full day of music, immersive visuals and entertainment inspired by the world of Alice in Wonderland.

The festival featured an international line-up led by electronic music stars Miss Monique, Anna, Garison and Olympe, while Monaco-based DJ Oracles had the honour of opening the event. Early arrivals were rewarded with an enthusiastic crowd and a vibrant atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the day.

Created by an event agency from Avignon in partnership with the operators of the Monaco Festival Big Top, Mona in Wonderland aims to establish itself as a major annual fixture on Monaco’s cultural calendar. Organisers say the goal is to develop a festival with both national and international appeal while taking advantage of one of the Principality’s most distinctive venues.

Festivalgoers praised the combination of accessible programming and cutting-edge electronic music, with many welcoming an event that brings a fresh dimension to Monaco’s entertainment scene. Given the strong turnout and positive reaction from attendees, organisers have already confirmed plans for Mona in Wonderland to return each year, creating what could become a new tradition in the lead-up to Monaco’s biggest week of international events.
