Monaco’s Princely Family gathered on the evening of Saturday March 21st, for the 70th edition of the Rose Ball, one of the Principality’s most established charity events, held at the Salle des Étoiles at Sporting Monte-Carlo…

Presided over by Princess Caroline of Hanover, the evening once again raised funds for the Princess Grace Foundation while bringing together glamour, tradition and philanthropy in one of Monaco’s signature social occasions.

HSH Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène attended alongside Princess Caroline, Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Ben-Sylvester Strautmann and Princess Akiko of Mikasa. This year’s edition carried the theme Galaxy Rose Ball, with Christian Louboutin once again overseeing the artistic direction and transforming the venue into an immersive, space-inspired setting.

Established in 1954, the Rose Ball has long occupied a special place in Monaco’s calendar, combining elegance with a charitable mission. Since 1964, it has supported the Princess Grace Foundation, which funds humanitarian and philanthropic work, particularly for people in difficulty and disadvantaged children.

For its 70th anniversary edition, the event leaned into spectacle while remaining rooted in its original purpose. Guests were welcomed into a theatrical environment shaped by lighting effects, elaborate décor and a distinctly futuristic atmosphere, continuing the tradition of giving the ball a fresh identity each year.

Even after seven decades, the Rose Ball remained one of Monaco’s most recognisable occasions, reflecting both the enduring appeal of Monte-Carlo society and the Principality’s strong commitment to charitable giving.
