Albert Ier High School in Monaco celebrated the holiday season with its second annual Christmas show, a vibrant production that honoured the history of women in America through music, dance, and drama…
The performance, titled Once Upon a Time in America, brought together 72 talented students, showcasing their diverse abilities in a memorable evening that combined entertainment with educational value.
This year’s theme highlighted key moments in American history since the 1940s, focusing on the contributions and stories of women. Students used their talents to interpret iconic scenes from American cinema and music, crafting a performance filled with vintage charm. The show also integrated texts from the English curriculum, blending education with creativity. From dramatic reenactments to musical interludes, the students demonstrated a deep understanding of the material they brought to life on stage.
The production not only provided a platform for artistic expression but also fostered a sense of community among students. Participants from second, first, and final-year classes worked together, strengthening bonds and creating a unified experience. “This really makes us even more of a community,” remarked one student.
The Christmas show served as both a celebration of talent and a moment to unite the school community before the holiday break. With its mix of entertainment, education, and collaboration, the event has solidified itself as a highlight of the school year, leaving students and attendees eagerly anticipating next year’s performance.
