On Thursday, December 19, students from Monaco participated in the annual Geste de Noël initiative, organised by the Mairie’s Service des Seniors et de l’Action Sociale…
This heartwarming event, dedicated to supporting the Principality’s most isolated senior citizens during the festive season, brought joy and connection to 25 beneficiaries.
The young volunteers joined Camille Svara, Deputy Mayor in charge of Social Affairs, alongside elected officials Jacques Pastor, Karyn Ardisson Salopek, and Nathalie Vaccarezza, as well as members of the Service des Seniors et de l’Action Sociale. Together, they delivered thoughtfully prepared gift baskets and meals to the recipients.
Each senior citizen received a basket filled with festive items, including a panettone, a jar of jam, a Christmas mug with chocolates, a cozy plaid, and biscuits, crafted by members of AMAPEI. These gifts were accompanied by heartfelt visits that brought warmth and companionship during the festive season.
To thank the students for their generosity, the Service des Seniors et de l’Action Sociale gifted them with a voucher, a box of chocolates, and holiday cookies.
