Rail travelers between Nice and Monaco will face a complete suspension of service on the weekend of Saturday, November 30 to December 1, as SNCF Réseau continues critical modernisation work on the railway infrastructure in the Alpes-Maritimes.
The interruption will begin on Saturday, November 30, with no trains operating on the Nice-to-Monaco section throughout the day. Service will resume partially on Sunday, December 1, at 9:30. Meanwhile, traffic between Monaco and Ventimiglia will operate on an adjusted schedule, with one train running per hour.
These disruptions are part of ongoing work to upgrade the Nice Ville station and enhance the region’s railway network under the theme of “improving tomorrow’s mobility.” While night works are already scheduled through June 2025, this additional daytime suspension underscores the scope of the project.
To assist travelers, SNCF is directing passengers to ZOU bus lines 600 and 601 as alternative transportation options during the interruption.
For updates and details on rail schedules, travellers are encouraged to check SNCF’s website or app.
