The Monegasque Rugby Federation, in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, recently organised a creative contest that engaged over 80 enthusiastic students from Collège Charles III. The competition, open to students from sixth to ninth grade, aimed to design the new jersey for the Impis U16 team, a youth rugby team founded by HSH Princess Charlene.
The event took place in the presence of Princess Charlene, alongside notable figures such as Jean-Philippe Vinci, Monaco’s Director of National Education; Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of the Princess Charlene Foundation and Honorary President of the Monegasque Rugby Federation; Thierry Danthez, Vice-President of the Rugby Federation; Pascal Granero, Director of the Princess Charlene Foundation; and Nicolas Bonnet, National Technical Director of the Rugby Federation.
The contest winner, praised for their artistic skill, received a unique jersey signed by each member of the Impis U16 team. This jersey will be proudly worn by the young players during the Dubai 7s tournament, marking a significant moment for Monaco’s sports community.

The Impis U16 team consists of promising young athletes from the Rugby Exchange program, a collaboration between the Federation and the Foundation. These talented players will have the honour of competing in the prestigious Dubai 7s tournament at the end of the year.
