It’s that time of year again in Monaco, where Christmas cheer starts early…

As October arrives, so do the festive lights that transform the Principality into a winter wonderland. The installation of this year’s display is no small feat, with teams from the Service Animation, Leblanc Illuminations, and Blachère Illuminations working tirelessly to ensure everything shines bright.

This year, Monaco will twinkle with 87 cross-street motifs, 410 candelabra displays, and 25 stunning scenes. Every inch of the city will sparkle, but you’ll have to wait for the grand light-up ceremony on November 30 at Place du Palais Princier. However, Parc Princesse Antoinette will start glowing from 16:00 each day until closing at 18:00, offering an early glimpse of the magic.

And what’s Christmas without spreading a little extra joy? December 6 marks the 20th anniversary of the Journée Monégasque des Nez Rouges, under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert. This year, “Les Enfants de Frankie” brings a festive twist to their famous red nose, turning it into a Christmas bauble. For just five euros, you can grab one and help support vulnerable children in Monaco.

Red noses will be available from November at Carrefour, Monaco Post Offices, and various pop-up stands throughout the city. So, whether you’re admiring the dazzling lights or donning your red nose, Monaco’s Christmas season is already shaping up to be brighter and more meaningful than ever!
