A tragic event unfolded at the Monaco-Monte Carlo train station at approximately 08:45 on Monday, September 30, when a woman fell onto the tracks as a train from Menton was arriving. The Public Prosecutor’s Office released a press release shortly after 20:00 on the same day, detailing that the 33-year-old French woman that died immediately on the scene was a resident of Cap d’Ail, and revealing the assessment of the initial investigation.

According to early findings, authorities believe the incident may have been a suicide, though this has yet to be confirmed by an ongoing investigation, which has been handed over to the judicial police.

Monaco police officers, along with firefighters, responded swiftly to the scene to conduct an initial investigation. Despite their rapid intervention, they were unable to save the victim.

The Monaco prosecutor’s office has not yet released further details as the inquiry progresses.
