A tragic incident occurred at the Monaco-Monte-Carlo train station on Monday, September 30, when a woman in her thirties was fatally struck by a train heading for Nice. The incident took place around 08:45, in which the woman reportedly fell onto the tracks as the train passed.

Despite the immediate response of fifteen Monaco firefighters, she died instantly at the scene. Authorities investigated the circumstances to determine whether the incident was accidental or a suicide. Train traffic between Nice and Ventimiglia was completely halted in both directions following the event, and the Monaco-Monte-Carlo station was temporarily closed to the public. Police erected barricades to ensure the safety of passengers, while train service is expected to resume after 13:00.

A psychological support unit was established shortly after the accident, with SNCF urging any witnesses or individuals affected by the incident to contact the unit for assistance at 0800 120 821.
