The Condamine district in Monaco saw a significant turnout for World Clean Up Day, with around a hundred participants joining forces to rid the area of waste on Saturday, September 21. The event was supported by members of the Municipal Council, including Marjorie Crovetto, Chloé Boscagli Leclercq, and Georges Gambarini, who actively took part in the cleanup efforts.

The initiative proved fruitful, with over 18 kilos of waste collected, including cigarette butts, packaging, and electronic cigarette refills.

In a show of solidarity, Monaco’s twin city Ostend also participated by organising a beach cleanup in Belgium.

Additionally, Municipal Council members Jacques Pastor, Karyn Ardisson Salopek, and Nathalie Vaccarezza took part in a symbolic twinning march, linking three Italian municipalities—Perinaldo, Apricale, and Isolabona—alongside Fulvio Gazzola, Mayor of Dolceacqua. The march was not only a gesture of unity but also an opportunity to collect waste along the route.
