In Monaco, not even superheroes are exempt from traffic laws. A viral video circulating online shows a Monaco police officer calmly waiting as Spider-Man fumbles through his costume to find his driver’s license. The comical scene unfolded on Avenue d’Ostende, where the costumed figure was pulled over, perhaps due to the eye-catching 200-horsepower Polaris Slingshot he was standing next, or as a result of his outfit.

However, the man behind the mask was not the real Peter Parker but Farid Zitoun, a 31-year-old urban acrobat and former finalist on La France a un incroyable talent in 2017. Known for his surprise appearances dressed as characters like Batman, Captain America, and Spider-Man, Zitoun was in Monaco to film a live social media broadcast from Casino Square.

Zitoun explained that he often films and showcases cars for his followers and decided to add some superhero flair to his latest video. This was his fourth visit to Monaco, but his first in costume. To his surprise, he was stopped by a police officer who, despite the unusual situation, found humor in it. The officer kindly requested to see Zitoun’s ID, car registration, and insurance papers to ensure everything was in order; otherwise, the car could have been impounded. The only catch was that Zitoun had to remove his mask for identification, but after confirming his identity, he was allowed to go on his way.

Zitoun eventually made it to his destination — Monaco’s Casino Square — albeit without the costume.
