The Monaco government has been alerted to a suspected case of dengue involving a person residing in a neighboring department with professional ties to Monaco. As a precautionary measure, the Directorate of Health Action has commissioned the Mediterranean Interdepartmental Mosquito Control Agency (EID) to conduct a mosquito control campaign.

This operation is scheduled to take place in Monaco-Ville during the nights of Monday, 2 September to Tuesday, 3 September, and Thursday, 5 September to Friday, 6 September, between 02:00 and 04:00.

Residents of Monaco-Ville are advised to keep their windows closed during these two nights and to avoid walking around the Rock between 02:00 and 04:00. Additionally, all residents of the Principality are asked to refrain from visiting the Rock during these hours.

While the products used for mosquito control are not toxic to humans, they may cause temporary discomfort and irritation.
