Monaco’s Department of Equipment, Environment, and Urban Planning, in partnership with A4MT, has announced the launch of MonaCube, the Principality’s first Efficient Building Usage Competition.
This is a one-year experiment, which aims to familiarise public and private entities of the Principality with the correct use of energy on a daily basis. MonaCube, modeled after France’s successful Cube approach, aims to educate participants on reducing energy consumption by more than 10%, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions through simple, effective actions.
By fostering behavioural changes and sharing best practices, MonaCube aims to instil long-term habits that support Monaco’s ambitious goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.
