The sixth edition of the Monaco Art Week will take place from Sunday, July 2 until Friday, July 7, and will be punctuated by unique exhibitions and appointments with a dozen galleries and auction houses throughout the Principality taking part in this celebration of art in Monaco.

Galleries, auction houses and art enthusiasts will come together to offer a circuit of exhibitions through different Monegasque neighbourhoods, wherein sculpture, painting, fine jewellery and various forms of ancient, modern and contemporary creations will be discovered over the course of the Monaco Art Week, which will conclude with the even more localised ‘artmonte-carlo Salon’.

MAW 2024 brings together 19 participants spread across different districts of the Principality: Artcurial; Boghossian, Christie’s; collect|mc, Hauser & Wirth, HOFA, Monte-Carlo Auction House, Kamil Art Gallery, Breton, Elisabeth Lillo-Renner, Moretti Fine Art, NM Contemporary, Opera Gallery, Almine Rech, Retelet Gallery, Adriano Ribolzi Gallery, Sotheby’s, Teos Gallery Monte-Carlo and Toninelli Modern Art.

This year’s edition welcomes for the first time the Almine Rech gallery, recently installed on Avenue de la Costa, the collect|mc association, as well as the Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo. The map of this year’s MAW trail can be viewed below:

Meanwhile, the eighth edition of the ‘artmonte-carlo Salon’ will be held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on Thursday, July 6 and Friday, July 7 under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert, and under the new direction of Charlotte Diwan.

“I am happy to take over the management of this show which is already well established but with strong growth potential,” said Diwan, adding that “our objective is to make artmonte-carlo even more attractive for our exhibitors, by implementing new means of communication to attract an ever-changing audience. Continuing this diversification of our buyer base through a varied and quality exhibition program is therefore one of our key objectives for the future.”

‘artmonte-carlo’ will welcome 27 leading international galleries of modern and contemporary art in 2024, which will present over 200 artists. The Hauser & Wirth, Almine Rech, Retelet, Moretti and Opera galleries are among the Principality’s galleries to be involved in the Salon’s program, which will also see many returning and new galleries from beyond Monaco’s borders.

Returning galleries include that of Perrotin, Mennour, Van de Weghe, Vedovi, Franco Noero and Nathalie Obadia, while the list of newcomers to this year’s artmonte-carlo Salon is comprised of the Lisson Gallery, Lelong & Co., Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois, Larkin Erdmann Fine Art, ML fine art, and the Semiose and Wilde gallery.
