The Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 driver duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were both present on a floating pontoon in the middle of Port Hercule for the world premiere presentation of the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed concept car on Wednesday, May 22.
The PureSpeed aims to be an F1 car for two, not just with no-doubt impressive performance, but also with design features such as the F1-inspired ‘halo’ that replaces the roof and the distinct lack of any sort of windshield.
Compensating for the lack of a windshield are two aerodynamically optimised helmets specially designed and manufactured for the PureSpeed concept, which will also be delivered to lucky buyers.
The first in the Mercedes’ Mythos line-up of exotic and ultra-luxurious machines, the PureSpeed is limited to just 250 examples, most of which are most likely already spoken for.
