American cinema legend Morgan Freeman is set to receive a ‘Crystal Nymph’ award at the upcoming Monte-Carlo Television Festival, which will take place from June 14 to 18 at the Grimaldi Forum.
While the the festival’s iconic ‘Golden Nymph’ award recognises the best programs and talent within the official selection, the crystal nymph rewards an actor or actress who is renowned for a stand-out television role or simply for his or her entire body of work.
In the case of Freeman, his entire body of work is being recognised at Monaco’s own celebration of cinema. The 86 year-old actor has entertained on the silver screen for generations, and will be present in the Principality to accept his well deserved award.
