Tara Pacific, Coral Expedition – Lecture
The Monegasque scientists Dr Stéphanie Reynaud and Dr Didier Zoccola talk about life on board and the scientific challenges they encountered whilst conducting research in two areas, a transect between Wallis and Futuna and Japan, and a leg in Palaos looking at ocean acidification. They will help you understand not just the emergency we face, but also the resilience of different species, and encourage everyone to do their part and protect this crucially important ecosystem. Big Deal on Madonna Street – The Art of the Cinema
The Audiovisual Institute of Monaco presents a 1958 Italian comedy caper film directed by Mario Monicelli. The plot revolves around a group of small-time thieves attempting to burgle a pawn shop in Rome, resulting in a series of comedic mishaps. With Vittorio Gassman and Marcello Mastroianni with the appearance of then 20 years old Claudia Cardinale. Regarded as one of the masterpieces of Italian cinema, the film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Film projection is organised in partnership with the Dante Alighieri association. On Tuesday, May 7 at 20:00 at the Théâtre des Variétés.
Deux amis – Pascal Rambert – Theatre
Friends and colleagues for thirty years, Charles and Stan, two stage actors, argue about their ambitious new project, restaging Antoine Vitez’s legendary 1978 performance of the four Molière plays, The Misanthrope, the School for Wives, Tartuffe, and Dom Juan. And like their master and Molière himself, the duo want to perform without a set, but merely a table, two chairs, and a stick. 14th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique
Following the resounding success of the previous edition, the Organizing and Selection Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) has decided to retain the same 8 series and classes unchanged for 2024. The event will culminate in tributes and anniversaries in the form of real races in the authentic and majestic setting of the Principality’s circuit. This 14thedition of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique is set to turn several pages in motor racing history. RM Sotheby’s Monaco Auction
